WILLINGNESS
"The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life. . . .
FROM THE FATHER'S HEART My child, don't let anyone mislead you into thinking that I was a victim of a Jewish mob. My own people did not murder Me. I turned My life over to them willingly. I knew My Father's plan from the beginning--that I was born to die. And it is not your death I want, My child--only your life submitted to My will. I want a willing spirit that says, "I trust You, Lord, whatever You wish to do with my life." I promise you I have fantastic things in store for you.
A GRATEFUL RESPONSE Lord, thank You for Your willingness to give Your life for me. You were not a statistic of Roman or Jewish executions. No one took Your life. You surrendered it of Your own free will. You placed Your life in the hands of murderers, just to give me life. That's some kind of love. How can I say thanks?
SIMPLE TRUTH
It is impossible to give yourself away--and not receive something back in the process.
