Day 263

LORD OF THE HARVEST

"Ask the Lord of the harvest,

therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

Matthew 9:38

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, I know you want to reach other people for Me. At times the task is overwhelming, and you may feel ready to surrender. Remember, you cannot accomplish anything alone. I am the Lord of the harvest. It is I who draw others to Myself, but I use workers like you to do it. Wait for My power before you go out. And pray for more help. I'll tug at the hearts of those who have been preparing all their lives for such a call. Prayer works, My child. Prayer works.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
Just as the earth yields its golden harvest, waving an offering of thanksgiving to You, so I wave my banner, my testimony of faith to those around me. You are Lord of the harvest, drawing in precious grain. Lord, thank You for letting me be one of Your workers.

SIMPLE TRUTH

Prayer reaches the hearts of those too far away to touch.
